The Laughing Freemen rose from the ashes of the North End Pub fire in Halifax, Nova Scotia back in March of 2007. Sharing a common joy for jamming, and an appreciation of great danceable rock n roll and pop from all eras, the band has performed throughout Eastern Canada, at bars, festivals, special events, corporate functions, and private parties.

The Freemen play a special blend of "songs you forgot you loved" - Classic rock/pop/new wave/funk/motown/country. Theme shows (60's, 70's, 80's, CanCon, Acoustic Pop, etc) and interactive "join the band" parties are also options when booking The Freemen. Special songs and/or requests are welcome. The Laughing Freemen offer a show for all budgets!
